Jay hails from small city Chatham, Ontario where he's grown up and spent his entire life, short of university. Since returning home from school, he has spent the last several years in the radio broadcast industry as an IT professional and Interactive Media Manager.
So with a new year comes a new big project. Working name Enigma, this new PC build is going to be my biggest yet, mostly because it won’t merely be an assembly job but rather a custom, fabricated, fine tuned peice of machinery. Now didn’t that just sound impressive? Here are the overall project goals that will be broken down into subsequent parts.
Case Modding
- Mod the case choice with a black base and use white accented parts where possible.
- Replace my OCZ GameXStream 850W fan with a themed fan.
- Cut enigma logo into case and backlight
- Add additional lighting options
- Consider white Sleeving on cables
Overclocked
- Attempt to reach a stable 4ghz quad core system
- 8GB of low CAS ram preferably over 1066mhz
Custom Cooled & Quiet
- Custom CPU waterloop with consideration for north bridge if needed
- Ram heatspreaders
- 120mm low noise replacement fans
- Acoustic foam for sidepanels
